Spring is finally here. We’re awfully sure your to-do list already feels too long, but we have a few things that can save you some headaches and keep you cozy in the months to come. The weather is going to start heating up in Plover and the last thing you want is to discover is that you need AC repair. Going through this quick checklist now may save you from sweating this summer.
- Inspect Your Air Filter and Ducts
Swapping your air filter makes it to almost all of our lists of tips because it's so important and so often overlooked. If your air filter is dirty, your system will have to work harder to keep you comfortable. This costs you more money and causes more wear and tear which diminishes the life and efficiency of your system. Your ducts and registers are an additional piece of the puzzle that is often neglected as well. While you're spring cleaning, pull off the covers from your registers and vacuum inside them. While you have the covers removed, soak them in mild dish soap, give them a scrub and swap them after they've dried.
- Clean Your Outdoor Unit
Keep any outdoor units clear of debris such as grass clippings, leaves or plant overgrowth. This debris can clog your system and cause it to lower its efficiency.
- Arrange Your Annual AC Tune-Up
This is where we come in to help you take on that to-do list. An annual AC tune-up prolongs the life of your system and keeps it running at top efficiency. Spring is the perfect time to schedule your tune-up so any problems or AC repair that needs to be made can be taken care of before the hot summer months. The cost of a tune-up is a little investment into the lifecycle of your system. Think of it as giving your air conditioner an oil change.
We can't help you with all of your spring to-do list, but we can help you with all things involving your home comfort. We want to ensure you’re cool and comfortable all summer long.
